Voices of the Silenced
Park Su-nam and Park Ma-ui work together to digitally restore old 16mm film, bringing voices from the past back to light. The restored records contain interviews with victims of the Japanese military’s comfort women system and traces of their daily lives, and the film follows those actual records rather than using reenactments.
