Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born

Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born

The drama is set in the 1950s, after the Korean War. Yoon Jeong-nyeon is not a character who faithfully recreates a particular real-life women’s gukgeuk performer, but the fictional protagonist created for the original webtoon. Heo Yeong-seo is likewise a fictional rival character who has not been confirmed as a direct biographical recreation of a real-life women’s gukgeuk performer.
